[Hardware] Suspent, Hibernate Issue

Hi.
I am using LMDE, and since I could not solve my problem on Mint's forum, I thought I would try it here.

The problem that I have is that the computer does not fully go into suspend or hobertnate mode.

If I do Suspend, it sort of suspends but the power button or mouse/keyboard would not wake it up. What helps is power-cycling the power supply for 1 second, and then it will actually wake up.

If I do Hibernate, it will sort of hibernate, but again nothing wakes it up. 1 second power-cycling will make it actually go into hibernate, and then power button will actually wake it up.

In other words, I need to use 1 second power cycle to enforce Suspend or Hibernate.

Restart and Shutdown work as expected.

Running Windows on this machine does not have this Suspend/Hibernate problem.

Any tips on what can be done about it?

Thanks.
